Savor Fort Wayne returns for seventh year

What’s happening: The seventh annual Savor Fort Wayne is happening January 17-28. Each January Visit Fort Wayne hosts a 12-day event, along with the Fort Wayne Restaurant Community, where local establishments off three-course, value-priced menus.

This year over 80 establishments are participating, offering a variety of cuisines and deals.

It’s a great chance for people to try new dishes at their favorite restaurants, find a completely new dining experience, or enjoy a meal from their favorite establishments at a discounted price!

How to participate: Anyone interested in checking out these special menus should visit SavorFortWayne.com, where menus are provided for each restaurant as they become available.

Visit Fort Wayne recommends checking their website throughout the 12 days as menus are subject to change and new menus can be added at any point.

They also highly recommend making reservations for restaurants that offer that option. Each restaurant will specify online if they accept reservations or not.

Why it's important: January and February are generally regarded as some of the slowest months for restaurants. Participating in Savor Fort Wayne is mutually beneficial for patrons and businesses alike. Patrons get to experience Fort Wayne’s food and beverage scene in a new way and restaurant owners get the opportunity to introduce themselves to new diners, all while escaping the typical lull winter brings this time of year.

A few menus to check out: With over 80 restaurants participating, it can be hard to decide what to try. Here are a few menus we’re looking forward to trying:

ACME by Full Circle: Their menu includes a “Let’s Eat Together” for two diners and an “It’s Okay to Honbap” menu for diners eating by themself. Diners have the option to pick from appetizers, entrees, and desserts, which include items from both their BBQ menu and their pizza menu.

Papi’s Pizza: If you haven’t made it to the Landing to check out Fort Wayne’s newest pizza spot, Savor Fort Wayne is the perfect time to try it out. They’re offering a $50 meal option, which comes with one large specialty pizza, garlic cheese bread, 10 wings, 2 salads, and 2 cookies.

Ryu’s Kitchen: They’re offering a three-course meal for just $27 during Savor Fort Wayne, which includes an appetizer, an entree, and dessert!

Oh Five Scoop Shop: It might be cold, but is it too cold to try out a beloved local ice cream shop? We don’t think so. Oh Five Scoop Shop is offering three Savor Fort Wayne menu options, which include deals on wedge sundaes, dessert parfaits, and the Oh Fiver Flight, which is five scoops of ice cream and/or gelato with waffle chips.

Any of the cafes/coffee shops: Tall Rabbit, Kanela, and GK Cafe and Provisions are all offering deals on beverage and pastry combos!
