Ron Oetting

A Fort Wayne native, and New Haven resident since 1991, Ron Oetting (aka RKO) stumbled around in a career that included work in the fields of commercial printing, sales, and marketing, advertising and publishing.

Highlights included his being involved in the start-up of USA Today, the nation's first full-color general interest daily newspaper. In 1991, he moved back home from Washington, DC, and became owner/publisher of the Allen County Times, a weekly "good-news" paper covering seven communities in

East Allen County.

His most recent odyssey involves writing an online "poem a day" for the past 940+ days, and writing his first book, entitled, Political Poetry by RKO, a satirical—and sometimes sober—insight into America's political condition.

Now, as he ventures into the uncharted territory (for him) of online publications, RKO will return to covering "good news" stories about the East Allen County communities he once covered in his weekly newspaper.
